Membership Regulations and Responsibility Declaration
Welcome to the "Concised Mandarin Chinese Dictionary" (hereinafter referred to as "this edition"). In order to protect your rights, please read the following specifications before registering. When you click "I accept", you will be deemed that you I have read all specifications and agree to abide by all the following specifications.
1. Comply with Membership Rules
After you register as a member in this edition, you can use the various services provided by this edition. When you use this edition, you agree to be bound by the membership rules and all precautions of this edition.
2. Use the Service
(1) This edition provides member network information services through Internet. Members must provide all the computer equipment (including software) necessary for internet access, and bear the cost of connecting to internet and telecommunication charges.
(2) Please provide your true personal information (including email) when registering. If the information is changed afterwards, please update it at any time.
(3) If the personal information you provide is incorrect or misleading, this website reserves the right to terminate your membership and to use various services at any time.
3. Protection of Personal Information
Regarding the personal information registered or retained by members, this edition will never disclose member's name, address, email address and other legally protected personal information without member's consent. The following special circumstances are not subject to this limitation: (1) Based on the provisions of the law; (2) Subject to the requirements of the judicial or other competent authorities based on legal procedures; (3) To protect the property and rights of this edition; (4) To maintain the personal safety of other members or third parties in an emergency.
4. Obligations and Responsibilities of Members
Members are solely responsible for all content transmitted by or through this edition.
(1) Members promise to abide by the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China and all international internet regulations and practices.
(2) Members agree and guarantee that he/she will not publish or transmit any text, pictures or files in any form that are defamatory, false, threatening, indecent, obscene, illegal, offensive, defamatory or infringe on the intellectual property rights of others on this edition.
(3) Members agree to fully respect the copyright and to prohibit the publication of text, pictures or any form of files that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
5. It is Forbidden to Engage in Acts that Violate the Laws and Regulations
This edition has the final decision on whether member's behavior conforms to member's norms. If this edition determines that a member’s behavior violates this membership code or any laws and regulations, member agrees that this edition may stop the use of the account or clear the account at any time, and stop using this edition. If a member violates the law, he/she shall bear the legal responsibility.
6. Termination and Change of Service
(1) This edition has the right to stop or interrupt the provision of services when one of the following situations occurs:
*When carrying out necessary maintenance and construction of the
equipment of this edition.
*When a sudden equipment failure occurs.
*Because the ISP company applied for in this edition cannot provide services.
*When this edition cannot provide services due to natural disasters and other
force majeure factors.
(2) This edition may be completely or partially interrupted, temporarily unavailable, delayed, errors in data transmission or storage due to malfunctions, failures, or human errors of the company's or ISP's network system software and hardware equipment. Or by a third person invaded the system, tampered with or falsified data, etc. Members shall not ask for any compensation for these causes.
7. Custody and Notification Obligations
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of the account and password, and must be fully responsible for all actions performed by using the account and password. When the account and password are used without authorization, or any other security problems occur, please notify this edition immediately. Every time you are finished connecting, please log out to protect your account. We cannot and will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by your failure to comply with this agreement.
8. Special Consent
Members agree that all content published in this edition only represents the member's personal position and behavior, and agree to bear all related derivative responsibilities, and this edition does not bear any responsibility.
9. Exemption of Warranty Liability
(1) This edition reserves the right to stop, change the content of services or terminate the use of any member account at any time without prior notice to the member. Regardless of the circumstances, this edition will not be liable to any member or third party for any trouble, inconvenience or damage that may be caused by stopping, changing the service or terminating the use of the member account.
(2) This edition reserves the right to add, modify or delete all or part of the services in the future without separate notice. Members shall not request any compensation.
(3) The specific service provided by this edition may have exclusive service terms. In this case, the rights and obligations of both parties will be determined based on the exclusive terms of the service.
10. Damages
Due to member’s violation of relevant laws or regulations or any of the terms of this agreement, this edition or its affiliates, employees, trustees, agents and other related performance assistants suffer damages or expenses (including but not limited to) members shall bear the liability for damages or cover their expenses when they are incurred in civil, criminal and administrative procedures.
11. Amendments to Membership Rules
This edition reserves the right to modify the membership rules at any time. This edition will announce the revised content on the web homepage when the membership rules are modified, without separately notifying members. If the member does not agree to the modified content, please do not continue to use this edition. If the member continues to use this edition, it will be deemed that the member has agreed and accepted the constraints of the new or revised content of this specification.
12. Validity of Individual Terms
If all or part of any membership terms set in this agreement is invalid, it will not affect the validity of other terms.
13. Governing Law and Competent Court
The interpretation and application of this consent form and the rights and obligations between members and this edition due to the use of this service shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of China. For disputes arising from this, the Taipei District Court of Taiwan shall be the court of first instance jurisdiction.
14. Other
The number of words included in this learning notebook is limited to 10,000 entries.
